Time Management
Recently I have really been struggling with time management. My busy schedule means that I often end up compromising and not being able to put the maximum effort I would like to put into my job, my placement or university. An example of this was last week when unfortunately a very busy week meant I mixed up the days of when I was in work and placement and was left panicking at the last minute, having to email my placement supervisor to let him know I wouldn't be in. At the time this made me feel very guilty and embarrassed at my lack of organisation, as in a real workplace this would not be acceptable. I sent an apology to my supervisor and promised it wouldn't happen again and explained the situation, fortunately, my placement was very understanding. I want to make sure this doesn't happen again, therefore, I have planned out a schedule for the next month to make sure I can fit in everything. I need to remember next time that not everyone is perfect and sometimes people make mistakes rather than feeling so upset by it. I have spoken to work and asked if it will be possible for them to schedule in my shifts over the next month so I can plan well ahead and make sure none of my university work will suffer.
I have scheduled out all my upcoming shifts and placement days alongside my university schedule with study sessions, I have plotted these out on a calendar in my room so I can remind myself and see a physical version too. I might have a look and research the most efficient ways to make use of my time and the best ways to schedule out my time too.
