TV Advert
Today I was a runner on the set of a TV advert the station had been commissioned to develop. At first, I felt very nervous as I had never had experience working on a professional set before. To combat this I tried to keep myself busy and made myself useful where ever I could. It was interesting to watch the filming process, it helped me to understand the organisational process that the team have to go to. All of their shots were planned and listed so they could be as efficient with their time as possible - it was all listed on a spreadsheet with the shot description. While the actors and the team were on a break I made sure to help out my cleaning up and tidying the set, the director praised me for being so proactive and said that he really appreciated my help. This really assured me and combatted the nerves I was feeling at the beginning of the shoot.
